Bottles
Why not give everyone a bottle or two?
A bottle or two to close their thoughts up tight.
Bottle away their thoughts,
Their feelings,
Their griefs,
Their despair and frowns and rage.
Stuff the bad things away into bottles, why worry!
Keep them in the backs of closets so they're not seen!
Let's all have happy, smiling faces.
Let's giggle and smile and talk about the sunny skies.
Let's.
Not.
Those bottles will pile over time.
They will pile and they will bury you alive.
Your floors
Your desks
Your bed and your closet and your attic.
They will spill and they will fall and they will break.
And you will scream and you will cry and you will die.
You will be buried in your grief,
Wailing as you suffocate.
Let's lock away ourselves for a few brief moments,
For the pleasure and comfort of others.
But, God, at what cost?
We ask ourselves this, and we decide it is always,
Always better to be honest and cast away our bottles.
But,
Every so often we think:
Why not give everyone a bottle or two?
A bottle or two to close their thoughts up tight.
Bottle away their thoughts,
Their feelings,
Their griefs,
Their despair and frowns and rage.
Stuff the bad things away into bottles, why worry!
Keep them in the backs of closets so they're not seen!
Let's all have happy, smiling faces.
Let's giggle and smile and talk about the sunny skies.
Let's.
Not.
Those bottles will pile over time.
They will pile and they will bury you alive.
Your floors
Your desks

They will spill and they will fall and they will break.
And you will scream and you will cry and you will die.
You will be buried in your grief,
