Bottomless Pit
Depression
Dark black hurricane that sucks you in and suffocates you
A shattered heart left on an abandoned road
A gloomy rainstorm that never ceases
Depression
Clings to your heart like a virus
Clings to your tongue like a cat
Clings to your mind, lingering in the shadows of your thoughts
Depression
A drowning sensations
Can't breathe
Can't think
Can't sleep
Can't feel
Can't live
Depression
A trap
A bottomless pit
Emptiness
All happiness gone
Nothing but pain
Depression
Something you hide from others
Pull down your sleeves, don't let them see
Paint that smile on, don't let them see
Don't be noticed, but want help
Depression
Reach up above where the dark stars shine on you
Get pulled down deeper
Voices saying you can't
People pouring dirt on you making it harder to get out
Get your nails dirty
Claw your way out
Rip your sleeves off
Wipe the paint off your face
Show the world what is actually wrong
Depression
Don't be afraid
You're not alone.
