A Bouquet
A white freesia perched at the edge
Just a few inches from falling off the ledge
So pure and sweet you'd never know
It's foothold could collapse at a gentle winds blow
Destined for great things, it grew to great heights
Behind the scenes, beyond the lights
With the will to live, it tried to fight
But like all creatures, fell before the great God's might.
A deep violet thistle sat sedentary at the top of a hill
Looking down upon others as if they were filth
Born for vengeance, a legacy to fulfill
The poor innocent flower, was destined to kill
Stone cold heart, hard titanium shell
Surviving through every day living in hell
Born and raised no other goal in sight
It had only one choice and that was to fight
A scarlet orchid thrived in the slums
To every pleasure it succumbed
On money, sex, and drugs it thrived
Not a single thing was ever denied
A succubus in it's own right
Never has it's prey ever put up a fight
Easy living is all it ever knew
It never could have prepared for the chaos that ensued
A gentle wind blew the iris away
From the white freesia which it had guarded all day
With perseverance it made it's way back
Loyalty was not something it lacked
Like a statue it stood over it's charge
It would defend against any threat no matter how large
A hidden strength revealed in times of need
To the strength of an opponent it would never concede
