Bouquet of Flower
Fresh and new our bouquet was strong and the color of our petals were bright and vibrant ,the sweet fragrance of our bouquet filled up the whole room.
A few days have gone by and our bouquet has begun to wilt, and I quickly add more water and food and the flowers suddenly come back to life, back to when it was fresh and new
But day after day our bouquet still continues to wilt and starts to slowly dry up. I add more water and more food being very meticulous not to add too much or too little. I'm trying so hard to restore the freshness.
As more days pass by our bouquet has finally seen the end of life, the sweet fragrance turned to a nasty odor, our petals dry and crisp with the colors dull and faded, it has lost all its strength letting all the leaves creating a mess on the floor.
Yet I'm still standing here trying to water and feed our bouquet, blinded and in denial that my nurturance towards our bouquet is useless and a waste of time.
I soon realize that no matter what I do I am not God; I cannot resurrect what is far dead and gone. The day has come when I must throw out the dirty water and throw away our bouquet in the trash.
Our marriage, our relationship, OUR LOVE....is gone.
The flowers lay in the trash lifeless with all meaning lost
