The Bowl

She has carved many years ago

A circular clay little bowl

Our hands have touched in the same

Grooves as her fingers

Our food is shared in the same place

i do in fact miss those hands

They've touched my heart and relaxed my mind

Made me feel at home when it wasn't in sight

The smell that rose from her great kitchen

Made me wish the smell was here today

i served my husband an beautiful children

My contents that i have made

In her little clay bowl

The love that was pressed in this little bowl

My heart was held

In the hands that created this bowl

My Grandmother's hands

She created this bowl

This little clay bowl
