The Box
Innocence, trembling innocence
the brain develops separately from the mind
growth, a measuring tape, below a cm
with clicking and clocking
ticking and tacking
a blocking in pharynx closes the passage
the production of carbon dioxide ceased
no roots or nutrient now exists
the lip is wrapped tightly,
better for it to be, then freedom
with light skin, close to that of dead skin
the lashes of life closes
