The box.
I wish I knew the story of the person lying next to me.
situation the same
place the same
position the same
bed the same
But no introductions.
2 years without communication
without a simple
How did you end up in here?
Who did you leave behind?
Or did someone leave you behind?
no, too personal.
But no talking.
2 years without talking to anyone
Trapped in a box.
Most travel to the north
but I
I was trapped here
in this box, if you will.
It’s my fault.
My fault for not listening to her
for not paying attention to her orders
for not staying inside when she asked me
for not falling to the ground fast enough
for not surviving.
Because of this,
I am
trapped in a box.
Alone.
With a hole in the back of my head
and no one to talk to about it.
