Boxed Beginnings
Sometimes the personal pieces of our souls are too much, too big, too loud for the little places we're told to stay in.
Sometimes we speak too loudly, with too much piss and vinegar, for the sugar-covered tongues of our proper lives.
We sit cramped in these boxes for the beginnings of our existence, finding solace in soft comforts such as a good book or a nice friend. We decorate these boxes, tell ourselves that they are good, that they are enough.
But still we dream of the world outside.
We peer outside with cramped necks when a crack appears and watch with wonder until the crack repairs and we are left once again in our little box.
But it is these small and delectable tastes of the vivacious world outside that makes us dream. And when we dream, we long. When we long, we plan. And for some of us… when we plan, we take action.
We follow our dreams, break the boundaries of our beginnings, reach for the stars, and we make it.
It’s the cracks that push me everyday. It’s the chance to push the boundaries, to press on weak spots, to live happily ever after despite the odds.
