Boxes of People

I was always the responsible one

Limited by my own maturity

I never fit in

I wasn't fun enough for my age

Or educated enough for adults

Eventually, I realized there wasn't anything to fit in to

So I made my own box

I helped others make their own box, and

Connected it to mine through a tunnel

And made a network

Of tiny little boxes

And when I get out off my box,

And see the vast spread of squares

I understand
