The Boy

Eyes a pale blue, and hair a sandy blonde, slicked up with a slight curve, like a wave. Shoulders slouching, eyes to the ground, and an awkward smile he couldnt quite hide. Intrigued, i wanted to know who this boy was. We talked, We talked until day's end. He took a liking to me, It seemed, No doubt i felt it too. With his breath taking smile, And shining eyes, I fell more and more each day. He looked as good as the beach in summer, His touch was like the sun's rays. I tried, And I tried, But could not keep my heart at bay. Its cage gave in, And it flew away, Leaving me open and bare. He had his chance to run and leave me, Broken and incomplete. But in that moment, I saw in those eyes, A mirror image of mine, And what i felt inside, It's then that I knew, No doubt, This boy, He felt it too.
