To A Boy
To a boy,
I feel as though I was cheated
Out of getting to express my emotions toward you
I had you one moment
And then you were gone
And that was that
At first I felt broken, lost, unloved
My heart was torn from my chest
The tears were coming so fast I couldn't see
I couldn't breath
I couldn't think
Soon the waves of despair and agony were swept away
A new feeling took their place
One of anger and hatred
Toward you, toward me, toward everything we had been
How could you go after so long
Like I was nothing to you when you meant so much to me
But how could I hate you
The boy who gave me so much life
In the end you were forgiven
Because you were truly the best
And you deserve to be happy
Even if that happiness isn't with me
I wish you all the best in life
Maybe someday you'll read this
Maybe someday you'll understand
Everything you put me through
And all the things I could never say
Sincerely,
A girl
