The Boy Behind the Mask

The boy comes in 

You see him 

Not knowing who he is 

You say hi 

But he doesn't reply 

You think  

Who is he 

But you go on with your day 

But he still in your mind 

You go to lunch see him again 

Say hi 

But he doesn't reply 

Again  

So, you just sit with him 

You ask his name 

But he doesn't reply 

You say your name 

He looks at you  

And  

Says this " I lost my parents." 

You stop eating looking at the tear  

He just shed 

You say, "It going to be okay.'" 

Because you lost someone close too 

He is crying now, and he comes close  

Hugging him you start crying too 

He stops hugging you 

He asks, " why are you crying?" 

You told him that your aunt died  

When you were eleven 

He says, " It's going to be okay." 

Since that day you and he were best friends 

But what you didn't know  

Was that he wore a mask  

You go on  

He asks you out  

You say yes 

Now everything is perfect  

Until he tells you  

That he is dying 

The mask he wore  

Was so powerful you never saw  

Him dying 

You start crying 

He says, " Don't cry everything is going to be okay." 

You say " It's not going to be okay your dying. 

My best friend, love of my life is dying. If I lose you 

I might as well be dead." 

He looks at you  

And says this, " Sweet heart when I die take care of my little sister for me." 

You say, " Of course I will." 

He is happy 

A couple of months later 

You're in the hospital 

He is dying now 

You look at him  

Still remembering the promise, you made 

His little sister comes in 

You look at her  

Him and you were orphans 

Him and you took care of his little sister 

Now her brother is gone 

You take her and told her this  

" I promised your brother I would take care of you." 

She lit up 

You and her leave 

Now the memory  

You share with her 

Is the brightest day she has had? 

In her life 

She meets the love of her life  

Now she married 

But you still single 

The boy behind the mask  

Stole your heart 

Now you have now heart 

The boys try to get you  

But you say no 

Now there is a new guy at work 

But he has a mask you say 

You say hey 

He says it back  

On your lunch break 

You see him at lunch 

But don't approach 

He does though 

You guys talk 

Until your lunch break is over 

He gives his number to you 

You call him that night 

Talked for five hours 

He asks you out 

You ask him 

" Tell me everything." 
He does  

You say yes to him 

He is happy 

You go on many dates 

Until the two-year mark of you date anniversy 

He asks you to marry him 

You say yes 

Now your life is perfect once again 

Now after you guys are married 

You get pregnant  

Now you have  

A boy and a girl 

Twins 

You husband is happy 

They grow up  

Now you see them in kidngarden 

Months pass  

So fast 

You and your husband  

Go to work 

You stop at the stop sign 

Then you go 

You see a car going to fast 

Before you can get across 

You get hit 

You and your husband are in  

The hospital 

Not knowing if you're going to survive 

You stopped breathing 

They put a tube down your throat 

You see your husband and the twins  

Crying 

They wait months 

For you to wake up 

Then you see your mom come in 

Crying 

You must wake up now 

You try so much  

IT doesn't work 

You can't die 

You stop  

Trying 

Now you fell something 

You wake up 

They pull the tube
