The Boy In The Corner

He sits alone in the corner His face, so stained by tears. Staring, staring bleakly at the wall Never seeing, never believing Only bleeding, bleeding for all he lost Alone in the world, crying, afraid He has no friends, just his knife Whose kind lips, slip over his writs To kiss him goodnight, one last time. Because, Nobody cares about the boy in the corner The one sitting alone With all his troubles and fears With no one to hold him To slip an arm 'round his shoulders To let him know someone is there For him, to help him live Maybe if someone, Had held him close Helped him in his pain The pain no one could understand Not his best friend, not his lover Only the knife knew him best Right to the end of his life That little knife, his only companion But, Nobody cares about the boy in the corner The one sitting alone With all his troubles and fears With no one to hold him To slip an arm 'round his shoulders To let him know someone is there For him, to help him live He hid it well, that one little boy Who could bottle all of it up Every broken dream, every lost hope Every friend he lost, every tear he cried He held it all, deep inside So deep he buried it, into his heart It grew in the dark, fed by his despair IT burned in his eyes, every unshed tear Every cut in his soul And had anyone looked, anyone cared, Maybe he wouldn't have died But no one did, because, Nobody cares about the boy in the corner The one sitting alone With all his troubles and fears With no one to hold him To slip an arm 'round his shoulders To let him know someone is there For him, to help him live Now he has a new friend Where he lies now, and forever His friend in life, that little knife Has left him now in death Now, his companion, his friend His only cold company Is the dark earth in which he lies Entombed forever, with all his pain Still locked firmly away From everybody, Who doesn't cares about the boy in the corner The one dying alone With all his hopes and dreams Lying burning before him With nobody to help him, save him To help him live He has nobody Nobody To help him live Nobody Nobody
