How could such events come to be?

The man I fell in love with is now hidden behind a screen.

But you still made me laugh with the best jokes I've ever seen.

Your smile, your eyes, your personality. 

All were now so far from me.

Distance cannot keep us apart.

When you can come home, we'll make a fresh start.

I'm in the country and you're in the city.

It's all just such a pity.

I love you more than written words can convey.

It's hard to think of anything else to say.

You may not be here but that won't stop us.

Oftentimes to get here, you have to take the bus.

When you are with me, nothing else matters.

When you are away from me, my heart is in tatters.

I wish I could save you from your dysfunctional life.

But what can a teenaged girl do to end such strife?

You are my sunshine on a rainy day

You're my supporter, even when I don't know what to say.

You give me strength, even though you're not here.

No matter what is on my mind you always lend an ear.

Your eyes are golden brown and filled with warm love.

Your smile is toothy and it fits your sense of humor like a glove.

You're a hardworking, friendly and intelligent man.

You always want to help, in any way that you can.

You're a huge nerd, and you wear it with pride.

You love facts and knowledge, you have nothing to hide.

You love everything I do, even if I'm wrong or doing it badly.

You love supporting me and my choices, and you always do so gladly.

In the end, this situation isn't ideal.

But it isn't worth it to make an ordeal.

We just have to hang in there, hold on to hope.

Until the day we hopefully elope.

I cannot wait until you're back here in my arms again.
