The Boy That I Loved

I once met a boy who ran from affection.

It wasn’t his fault his past was just rough.

He told me his flaws, but in all honesty he was perfection.

He just put up a front that made him seem tough.

The mask that he wore did not leave me frighten.

For when I told him I’ll stay I wasn’t lying.

I gave him my world which he lighten.

But it wasn’t enough and he left me crying.

He left a hole in my heart when he turned away.

The boy that I loved didn’t even give me a second glance.

I know that one day everything is going to be okay.

Somewhere in the world I have another chance.

So I picked myself up, and put on a fake smile.

I left everything behind hoping not to see him for a while.
