Boy to King

Because a man didn't cover his wound,

because he let his blood drop,

that cause himself and his wife to drop.

Into a pyre,

Returning one to the earth,

and another to the fire.

The boy left behind,

had nothing left to do but cry,

and in the forest he'd lie,

until a dragon came and flew by.

He asked the boy, "What's wrong?"

And the boy said "I had no where to belong.

My parents died in fire,

now the risk of death is higher,

I wish things were back to the prior,"

So, the dragon took the boy, and raised him like his own.

He healed the boy's heart,

and turned his will to stone.

And, even while he was exiled to attone,

their relationship became tightly sewn.

The boy became a man,

and he was fitting into the plan for his lifespan,

for he'd grown,

and his new people knew he was ready for the throne.

As the King, he decreed:

"We shall sew a new seed,

of kindness, and helping those in need.

I hope we have all agreed."

And, that is the story of the Boy turned King,

though it is not the end, for there's another tale to tell.

Underneath the Boy turned King's happy facade, his mind was a living hell.

Thoughts of emptiness,

and sadness.

Depressed, while feeling opressed,

by the others he tried to impress.

The world's weight upon his shoulders,

feeling as if he were the only holder.

Wanting his kingdom in shape,

his mind becoming a torn state.

One side of order,

and one of chaos,

trying to flow over the mental borders.

And, in the process,

his mind began to recess,

and the only thing that kept is sanity,

as the fact he had a family.

And, if he weren't on the throne,

his mind would have been thrown

out the window,

like the apparent.

The lives of his parents.
