the boy the rat

I remember screaming and sobbing
and hardly breathing as I realized what you were saying
you told me forever and always
I didn't know that meant until you found somebody better
you and your lies sicken me
I thought I couldn't live without you
but really you were drowning me
I am so much stronger without you weighing me down
I am glad you are with her
because now you are no longer my problem
I gave everything to you, a rat
