The Boy Who Cried (Wolf)

Once upon a time,

there was a boy, who often went to school.

and although his life seemed good

sometimes he would get in a bad mood.

he didn't know how to say

that it wasn't just one bad day.

the friends he used to be so close to,

he'd rarely visit

and he felt bad but he couldn't control it.

he didn't know how to explain

all he wanted to do was remain at home

so he told his friend that he was sick,

but they got mad at him and told him not to complain

his mom told him it was bad to abstain from the fun and games.

one day,

he heard in class that you can be sick,

without coughing or sneezing

and that the way you feel is sometimes out of your control

and it wasn't uncool to admit it

he talked to his school counselor

and felt better

because he learned firsthand

how important it is to talk to people who understand
