Boy who taught me how to smile

Let me tell a story of a boy

He was friend from the past

He  to my eye a god, with joy

The way he speak was fast

We didn't know the cost

We were lost

We  were the oddest

We were honest

We live with mary jane

A normal thang

We weren't in a gang

A way of change

He very poor

He didn't ask for more

His mom was a whore

He father used score

He was my angel from hell

We couldn't tell

Even when we were alone

He has much woe

He wasn't gay

Taught me how smile everyday

The way I speak

Was from him, teaching me

He wasn't stupid

I wasn't lying

He was a kid

His mind was dying

We were born generation of genocide

We different from deep skin

It wasn’t our sin

Thus how story is

When he die

I sigh

Didn't know why

Later I started to cry

He with god

Now im odd

He was my father

He was my brother

He was black

He was against crack

He saw life wrack

He never look back

Thus the story boy I love

Now he watches from above

Taught me, how to be flawless

Even when I used to be reckless

If it wasn't for boy who live enough

Life would be tough

Even worst, rough

It was his love

Taught me how be flawless

Now I honor him, I'm bless

He still my friend

I shall meet him, at the end.
