The boy with the “Mirrored” eyes

Cold blues eyes,

That stare into your soul.

He says they show the truth:

Who you really are.

I look up into his

Cold blue eyes.

I was mystified

By his lies.

Those cold blue eyes pulled out all of my fears presenting them before me.

They make me feel empty.

I thought I was lost in those eyes,

Like they somehow protected me

From my fears.

But now that I’m on the outside I know what real warmth is.

Not his dark cold world that

Lays behind his “mirrored” eyes.

Those eyes pull you in,

Trap you,

And feed off of your warmth.

He told me they only showed me the truth

But those cold blue eyes

Cover up an empty

Soulless shell.

The boy with the “mirrored” eyes

Just wants your warmth

For he can no longer provide his own.

He closed himself off long ago.

Only venturing out when

His stolen warmth

Goes cold.

A girl tried to break his curse

Only to be consumed by it.

He made her feel empty

To fill himself up.

She trusted him,

Relied on him,

And he ate her up whole.

She fell back to old habits

To set herself free.

 Free she is not.

Will she ever be free?

From the boy with the “mirrored” eyes

Or just a lost reflection?

Leaving just a shell behind.
