Boys

Some are nice and sweet

But have hidden undertones grief.

Some show off for you,

But believe they aren't good enough

Most just want something from you,

A thing you are not willing to give.

Every now and then you'll find a good one.

But you will have things he isn’t willing to forgive.

And that's the hardest part,

This time you are the one to blame.

You will never be good enough for the good ones.

And it will always be the same.

Something will always be wrong with you.

The good ones will lie and say you are great,

They just wanna save your heart from the pain.

Eventually you'll realize there’s not much you can do.

Because you are not good enough,

And it's something you have always knew.

You are too fat or emotional.

And you know they deserve better,

So you look at them with a smile,

And say I was never as good as her.

You’ll take what you can get, and if that is days,

With someone who causes you endless pain,

You'll take it , cause all you want is to be is loved.

And no matter if it hurts you stay,

You wanted to be accepted not shoved,

And he tells you that he'll never leave

No matter the emotional tears he still causes you.

But girl, stay strong, and do not grieve,

You deserve the best, and always will

Better than I could ever achieve.
