Boys

Boys,

They can woo you,

make you fall,

make you think that you're their one and only,

So why have I never been able to be with one?

Why does my fear of letting someone in take over the feelings I have?

Why do I shut down?

Shut them out?

Why do I do this to myself, over and over again?

Why do I not give myself a chance to be happy?

Because,

Because I don't want to give somebody the power to hurt me

I want that power to remain in my own hands,

If I hurt myself before they have a chance to

I'm not mad at them,

Nobody knows about the pain,

It's not all over school,

I shut down, because it's my buissness, not yours
