My entire body is screaming with agony, Yet I feel so utterly numb, Wish for a release, Away to let my darkness go. I feel so lost and empty, Like a piece of me is missing, As if I am broken, Never to be mended. As I look in the mirror, I question if it's really me, The way I feel doesn't show on my face. For my highs are like being on cloud nine, Yet when I hit my lows, I don't want to get out of bed. Everyday is a fight within myself, Like a war is raging inside of me, With no way to stop or block it out, I feel despair, Like I've been cursed. I ask myself on a daily basis, What have I done so wrong in my life, To deserve the suffering I endure everyday. Trying to explain how I truly feel, Finding the proper words, Hoping they'll understand, Yet the look on there face, They don't and it's so frustrating. I'm trying to put on a happy face, But my tears still fall, Wanting to laugh yet screams creep out. All I'm asking is for one day, Just one day, To not feel so much pain and rage within.
