There are times

Times of happiness and times of joy. Moments that I feel like the sun.

But you can't look at the sun.

The sun

It shines so endlessly, affecting everyone it touches

It touches

But it is never touched

There is

A pulsing force

I can feel my blood

I can feel it

Circling my body

I can feel my heartbeat

In my toes

And behind my eyes

Although I'm not sure if it's my blood or the gallons of coffee and rum I pour down my throat to stay alive

There are times I smile

There are times I cry
