Brain Dead (Longer Version)

I'm suffiocated by the absence of light.

Wet eyes from the same scene.

Brain Cells buried by bright screens.

While I envy the people that mastered their dreams.

Put on a pedestal in glitter and gold.

Appealing to the eye.

But a drug to the soul.

I spend days in small spaces.

With blank pages.

And poems stuck in the beginning stages.

The worst of me picks the pedals that I aspire to grow in your

garden of lillies.

She excites me to dance to your pity.

Keep in mind of those who rejoice for your peace.

Their mind knows no peace.

Their shoulders are no match for the weight of the world

When they collide.

They die inside.

I avoid mirrors at the dawn of reflection.

Comparisons I make of you point out my imperfections.

Brain Dead is the choice from the music selection.

Please sit and listen to this secret confession.
