Brand New Wings

New day, new life but few chances to prove who i am

A face in the mirror but no expression is being shown

I can be the worst B!TCH but only to my self

My whole world is surrounded by people who are lost

They never play that part though

Because no one wants to admit that they are lost inorder to be found

Makes me wonder, just what caused them to lose their soul

Or better yet..... To get lost in the first place

I suppose if they did admit it, they would be playing the Victim and no one wants to be the Victim

Well these brand new wings i have now never fails me

They keep me warm in this Cold world

Most have their wings, but they just don't know how to fly

But i question myself,

who taught a new born baby to take their first breath?

Somethings in life can't be taught

That is why i am my OWN teacher

Because i see things others don't see and say things other fail to say

And i walk in my own path

Careful as ever because every step leads to a destination

so instead of taking steps...

I spread my wings and fly away

Never suspended in the air though

Because freedom has no limit

not wasting my time to look down when i am flying in the air

what's the point?

If it was as great as it was down there, i would still be taking baby steps

to a place where there is no end. Or should l be specific and say that the end is just the begining

Just like no one wants to take the time to give people a break

The end becomes the begining

Whats the point of having wings if there isn't anything i am flying away from.

In the end we all know that this is all a lie not these words though

Becuase they are my own

But our lives will forever be a lie

if we stop learning to fly

I will use My Brand New Wings

To fly to a place where nothing can come close enough to hurt me
