Branded Trail

Bare feet upon a worn cobble stone path,

Embroidered moss in the deep wounds stitching,

The crumbling monuments of human hands.

Sun awakening patch work quilt of viridescent,

An innocent haze of a time long ago,

Finger tips aching for the phantom hue of juvelon.

In ivory linen of blood who owned the body before,

Hems hanging long for earth's grasp,

Leaving a branded trail upon the heels of second skin.
