Bras (Dedicated to Nina and Meghan)

We ran slowly

Into that wood

So green.

We started out so clean.

Searching to hide

In the shade.

I promise I never lied.

We make for the glade.

We called Alice

For advice on rabbits.

We’ve hit paralysis

Torn to bits.

Just around the corner! I called.

I looked so scary, they said, deep in the trees

Directly in the middle of that

Endless path.

We found the magic spot

of the river. It was so very hot,

We set ourselves free

For no one was there to see

How beautiful were we three.
