You volunteer so willingly

so brave. 

         It was a dare.

and you did dare-

         You didn't care.

emboldened, empowered, you

         Couldn't handle it. 

It wasn't what you had made of it.

and now you

          Must face it-

that task which you had underestimated and signed yourself up for.
