For The Brave

It began in year 5

I was only twelve years old

Thinking I was another kid

I was the black sheep in the fold

You called me names

That started with “N”

I didn't seem to mind

It continued to year 10

I repeated “I am fine”

That’s what bullies do

They kick you when you’re down

Thats what bullies do

They make you the class clown

It continues to year twelve

But I am even stronger

Little girls outgrow bullies

The name calling is no longer

That’s what big girls do

They finish the bullies’ test

That’s what big girls do

They show them who’s the best
