Brave

You asked me,

for my name

I quickly responded.

You asked me,

if you could Google me

I thought you were insane.

You asked me,

a completely different question

two months later.

You asked me,

if I thought we would stay

this way forever.

Boy,

time would pause

and time would pass.

You stopped,

calling me your sweetheart

and your pumpkin.

You imposed labels,

one day I was a monster

the next day I was a cheater.

I am here,

to tell you

those labels are incorrect.

I am more,

much more

than what you think.

I am me,

a strong girl

who is both fearless and brave.
