Brave
I was building my confidence
Laying concrete and stone
You kept throwing mortars
Hoping to shatter me with your blows
You pointed out my imperfections
Trying to label them as flaws
For years I saw it that way
Making myself the cause
I finally see my value
See my own worth
I'm an overdue open book from the library
That you couldn't read due to your illiteracy
