The Brave Night

Sat, 04/06/2019 - 20:17 -- Cullan

There once was a princess, locked in a castle

The King was Death, The Knight was humble.

The Knight had ambition to secure his daughter.

The virtue of love was a major desire.

It takes more than chivalry to claim the throne

You must be brave and a warrior, all on your own

The Knight went up and approached the King

Battle my snakes, or you’ll eternally bleed

The cobra was large, his survival was small

He must win the battle, he mustn’t fall

He was bit in the heart, depression was a sting

No toxic snake, he said, was his dying plea

The Princess was sad she could not be saved

For the one who loved her died in vain

Every night as the moon becomes bright

Hope for the fallen knight is still in sight
