Break away
They say crack is a drug
more like a curse.
mommy why did you use it? I know it made you feel good
But they caused me hurt
i stayed up looking out my window
waiting for you to come home
you never did
so the pain I had
never healed
17 years later I'm still paying for the things you did
My biggest fear is ending up like you
Those words are never meant to sting
more so be motivation for me
To break away from the statistic
of being just another "junkies kid"
to take of control of my own story
what happen in the beginning
will not determen my end.
