The Break of Dawn

The ticking of time is fast when the heart is joyful
but slow when the mind is burdened
Now at last, the clock cannot spin faster
The cold moon is beautiful and entrancing
but the frozen light chills my bones
The sunlight I once mocked
slowing rises above the sea of sorrow
and will fill the emptiness inside my soul

I need the break of dawn
