Break free

They are everywhere All trapped in a loop None able to break free I watch and soon I too fall victim As we all blindly look for the door Herded like cattle for slaughter Each of us being told its for a better future As we are stripped of our dreams We're groomed to be a part of a current system Those who oppose the system are ridiculed They are looked down on as if they are lesser But those who hold dear to their dreams are truly free Wanting to join I tug and pull on my chains Thrashing about to break loose from my fear Bound tightly I reach out and grab the key The key to true happiness Only to find I had it inside me the entire time
