Breakfast Blues

Breakfast Blues

A day without breakfast is a day without cheer

No sunny side up, no jam to smear

Our smell crumbles,

While our belly rumbles

No bacon pick-ups or ham fill- ups

Only dying taste buds and dry hiccups

No pillows of pancakes to comfort

Only rising sensation to suffer

No butter to liven taste buds

No sausage to give your stomach hugs

Just plain emptiness to show its’ ugly mug

To mock our hunger and not show love.
