Breaking
Knives cut quick
Words cut deeper
But silence,
Silence slaughters the soul.
Words, oh those dull tools of sticks and stones,
How I long for your pain.
Oh words I wish it were thee who bring me such despair, yet nay,
It is you, silence whom I face in the arena.
You a hulking Gladiator,
And me unarmed.
I long for words.
