Breaking the Chains

I've always been reserved..

Never had my voice to be heard..

Keeping my thoughts to myself, afraid of being judged

By someone else

But there's always been a fire

Burning deep inside, that lately, I can't seem to hide

Told from day one "stick with the rules, and you'll do fine"

After years of following in line, I want to be heard

I'm tired of following the pack

It's time I take a stroll down my own track

I once was a bird conceiled in a cage

Now my wings are soaring through the sky

My heart filled with passion, built up from years of age
