Breaking Down

WARNING!!! THIS POEM CONTAINS STORIES OF RAPE! IF YOU ARE
SENSITIVE TO THIS TOPIC, I ADVISE READING WITH A FRIEND OR
FAMILY MEMBER!

I told myself not to go

But I did anyway.

I got in the car with you

And then we went to he party.

At the party we got drunk

And you wanted to take me home.

I let you.

Why did I let you is something I ask myself everyday.

I should've stayed sober.

I should've stayed home.

I should've ran.

But I couldn't.

You took a part of me I can't get back.

You didn't break me.

You watched me fall apart

And knew I didn't want it.

But you did it anyway.

I can't stand your name.

I cant stand your face.

I cant stand your voice.

You killed me.

I wanted to die anyway

But I already felt dead.

I'm losing myself while I'm losing my mind.

That Monday night.

That horrible Monday night.

Is when I died.

Note: This is an experience from quite a while ago that I'm still currently recovering

from. I am recovering well with the help of my friends.
