Breaking Free

I’m so crowded in fright

I can’t see through the night

I close my eyes

And dream of a brand new day

Filled with bright light

I’m not going to hold it in anymore

I’m breaking open the door

And letting the light shine through

I’m going to live my life without any regrets

I will try my hardest to break off these chains

That is holding me down

Not letting anyone break me

Not letting the darkness take me

Do not try to change me

So break free all you people

Let the chains no longer bind you

Let’s all be ourselves

Let’s all be who we are

I am who I am

You are who you are

Don’t follow the crowd

For we all have our own voices

To shout out loud

So stand up with me

 Create your own beat

And your own rhythm

The darkness comes sometimes

But bring down the brightness

And shine it throughout the world

The chains are now broken

So I call upon you once again

To stand up with me

And sing along to your own beat

For we have our own voice

To shout out load who we are

We cannot be changed
