Breaking Free

The darkness

Surrounds me

knawing at me and

saying "come, come"

The hands

r  e  a  c  h

for me but I stand firm.

This will not happen

My thoughts circle

rapidly.

Oh, break this curse

cries the lonely girl.

The angel appears and

suddenly the light shines.

oh, how it shines so brightly

oh, the goodness in the world

has appeared.

"Take me"

the lonely girl cries

"Take me far, far away"
