Breaking Free

I’m so sick of this feeling This feeling of being alone So sick of feeling transparent Abandoned, deserted and on my own. I’m so sick of the cruelty The indifferent stares So sick of being different Why is it that no one cares? I’m so sick of trying this hard Trying to fit in So sick of not being myself And being just like, them. I’m so sick of fighting with myself A battle within So sick of seeing me as an enemy And letting that enemy win. I’m so sick of hurting Hurting myself for someone to notice So sick of striving to be perfect Why can’t I see that it’s all no use? I’m so sick of being a monster A living, breathing fantasy So sick of my own demons But they breathe supremacy. I’m so sick of being afraid Scared of my own shadows So sick of being paranoid Fearful of even closing my eyes I’m so sick of being tired Emotionally and physically tired So sick of being so far way Where nothing seems to be in reach I’m so sick of it all Which is why I’m breaking free So very sick of it all Which is why I’m being me.
