Breaking Point
People use me like they do a pencil,
Pressing and pressing til they reach a breaking point.
They strip me down
Until everything is showing.
They don't care,
they don't know what it feels like,
To be pushed and pulled back and forth.
To be lost and forgotten.
It seems as though I'm wearing an invisible cloak,
that makes my voice an inaudible whisper.
On the inside I'm screaming,
So loud, my blood boils.
But on the outside, my body is so stiff.
I feel frozen in time around all the bad things I've done.
They surround me and swirl round my head,
making everything I see a blur.
The people don't see that I'm dying to get out
Because I'm spinning too fast for them to see my tears.
People have used me like they do a pencil,
They have pressed and pressed.
And I have finally broken.
