Breaking Points.

At some point something Has to give or else I will Fall into darkness. ... But I don't think for a moment This is Your fault. I know I know its mine. My pride and my sin My ignoring Your name. Its my fault, my sin. And I need to be saved. I have nothing to save me, I haven nothing to give, I come as I am, So I can die, then live. I can offer nothing Not even myself. The dark in me rebels, I can't promise You-- Anything. ... But I will not falter. I'll trust in Your name. I am a sinner yes. Proud, selfish, vain. I will coat nothing with sugar I won't Febreeze a corpse I NEED the One Savior, And I'm not afraid to ask. But I'm afraid that I-- Won't get an answer. ... What foolishness is that? That You would deny, Someone who confesses Who gives up her life, as best as she can, knowing she can't Without the Christ And the Holy Spirit. So then I'll hit my knees In reverence and awe Because I don't deserve this, And You owe me nothing. So until the storm breaks, I will keep on coming To Christ. To say: I know I am a sinner I am guilty of lust, of pride Of rebellion Of bitterness Hatred, And anger. I am guilty of murder (in the heart). I know I am guilty. I know I have sinned. And I'll humble myself And rejoice when I can say again With honest joy Praise the Lord!

I want to write good poetry, lyrical powerful poetry about God. So whatever I write that is lyrical, powerful and moving--Does NOT come from me, but from Him. I take no credit other than that my fingers typed it.

Your poem echoes in my mind, and I feel like I just waved at my own memories. This is a poem I greatly enjoy.
