Breaking a Promise

Sometimes you have to break a promise for the person you love

This person made you happier than you have ever been

Your friends saw how happy you were

This friendship you had with this one person was something different than any other friendship you have ever had with someone

You also loved this person more than you have ever loved anyone

Then one day everything changed

You came into school and were sad

You have been different since then

You say to me you miss the text messages that one person sent you and every time you look at your phone you are always sad because that person is not on your screen anymore

You want this person but you also know that it is bad

But this person made you happy

You also made a promise to people

But sometimes promises have to be broken

So you can fix the wounds that were left behind
