The Breaking of Tradition
This object that lay on my chest is so heavy on my heart.
The weight just builds and builds upon itself.
I cannot have this,
This past that is contained in this object.
That is not who I am,
That is not how I now walk.
Tradition must be broken with me.
A family who has not kept the ways of the Lord,
Nor followed him.
I cannot bear this object upon me,
It was not honored.
Though hearts and tradition will be broken,
I cast the object away from me.
This generation will not walk in the ways of its fathers.
The chain has been broken.
