Breath

Take a deep breath

You are not in any danger

Although what lies underneath

May not be the same

People make mistakes

Things are said, words are thrown around

But despite what people say

Stitches don’t always fix the wound

You may forgive or choose to forget

But don’t allow that to be deceiving

Words still can be a big threat

That make the wound start bleeding

To those traveling this path

Know that you are not alone

For many walk this troubled road

Making their way to the golden throne

Your heart may race faster than sound

Maybe you feel as cold as ice

But even swimmers can drown

If they learn to stop caring

Boom! Crash! The sound against your chest

Scared that it is loud enough for others to hear

SOmetimes things aren’t always expressed

Because the words are drowned out

When it is your turn to go

Just remember you are not alone

To change your path, start with hello

And start to travel the road of amendment
