The Breath of the Forgotten Ones

Why must we stop because they tell us to?

Why must we be what they tell us to be?

Why must we pretend?

I am tired of pretending

The spirit in me is seeping through my pores

Ready to grasp on to life.

I roar like a lion

yet walk like bird.

With every fragile step, comes a new challenge.

People cannot stop me

For I am unstoppable.

People cannot trick me

For I am smarter than they think.

Stupidity does not derive from insubordination

Stupidity derives from normality

Wisdom does not derive from books

Wisdom derives from experiences

Wisdom derives from living.

I soar above the clouds

Try to stay away from reality

The reality of a heartless world,

Ruthless people roam the grounds

So why would I walk when I can float.

The corruption of humanity strays away from me

For it knows I am incorruptible.

Hungry for money

Hungry for fame

Hungry for fortune does not tempt me.

Starving for happiness

Starving for success

Starving for connections is what traps me in.

I live a succulent life

Every day is different

Yet my goals and dreams always stay the same

I want to touch the sky

I want to sink into the ocean

I want to be a part of everything.

I want my blood, my sweat, my tears, to run through the Nile river.

I want my bones to be found on the moon.

I want my spirit to roam every corner of this world

Even when my heart is beating.

My heart will never stop beating.

I want my ashes to be scattered in the sands of Australia.

I want my memories to disperse

I want my roar to be heard through out the world

To the gods up above

And to the demons down below.

I roar like a lion

Yet I walk like bird.
