Breathe

Poetry? That's what you're into?

Loser. Lame. Pathetic.

NO! I scream in my mind!

Poetry is none of those things!

Poetry is the breath in my lungs as I breathe the air just before a thunderstorm.

It is the cries of my soul to the night sky as I lay awake in my bed filled with despair.

It is a living breathing thing created by mortal beings to breathe life into others.

It comforts the girl curled up in her bed crying.

It calms the young man about to blow because life is just so frustrating.

Poetry is the lifeblood flowing through the veins of every person and being on earth.

Poetry is everything.
